This study focuses on the use of the Soil and Water Assessment Tool (SWAT) model for water budgeting and resource planning in Oued Cherraa basin. The combination of hydrological models such as SWAT with reliable meteorological data makes it possible to simulate water availability and manage water resources. In this study, the SWAT model was employed to estimate hydrological parameters in the Oued Cherra basin, utilizing meteorological data (2012–2020) sourced from the Moulouya Hydraulic Basin Agency (ABHM). The hydrology of the basin is therefore represented by point data from the Tazarhine hydrological station for the 2009–2020 period. In order to optimize the accuracy of a specific model, namely SWAT-CUP, a calibration and validation process was carried out on the aforementioned model using observed flow data. The SUFI-2 algorithm was utilized in this process, with the aim of enhancing its precision. The performance of the model was then evaluated using statistical parameters, with particular attention being given to Nash-Sutcliffe efficiency (NSE) and coefficient of determination (R2). The NSE values for the study were 0.58 for calibration and 0.60 for validation, while the corresponding R2 values were 0.66 and 0.63. The study examined 16 hydrological parameters for Oued Cherra, determining that evapotranspiration accounted for 89% of the annual rainfall, while surface runoff constituted only 6%. It also showed that groundwater recharge was pretty much negligible. This emphasized how important it is to manage water resources effectively. The calibrated SWAT model replicated flow patterns pretty well, which gave us some valuable insights into the water balance and availability. The study’s primary conclusions were that surface water is limited and that shallow aquifers are a really important source of water storage, especially for irrigation during droughts.
Hazards are the primary cause of occupational accidents, as well as occupational safety and health issues. Therefore, identifying potential hazards is critical to reducing the consequences of accidents. Risk assessment is a widely employed hazard analysis method that mitigates and monitors potential hazards in our everyday lives and occupational environments. Risk assessment and hazard analysis are observing, collecting data, and generating a written report. During this process, safety engineers manually and periodically control, identify, and assess potential hazards and risks. Utilizing a mobile application as a tool might significantly decrease the time and paperwork involved in this process. This paper explains the sequential processes involved in developing a mobile application designed for hazard analysis for safety engineers. This study comprehensively discusses creating and integrating mobile application features for hazard analysis, adhering to the Unified Modeling Language (UML) approach. The mobile application was developed by implementing a 10-step approach. Safety engineers from the region were interviewed to extract the knowledge and opinions of experts regarding the application’s effectiveness, requirements, and features. These interview results are used during the requirement gathering phase of the mobile application design and development. Data collection was facilitated by utilizing voice notes, photos, and videos, enabling users to engage in a more convenient alternative to manual note-taking with this mobile application. The mobile application will automatically generate a report once the safety engineer completes the risk assessment.
We reviewed the research on super-hydrophobic materials. Firstly, we introduced the basic principles of super-hydrophobic materials, including the Young equation, Wenzel model, and Cassie model. Then, we summarized the main preparation methods and research results of super-hydrophobic materials, such as the template method, soft etching method, electrospinning method, and sol-gel method. Among them, the electrospinning method that has developed in recent years is a new technology for preparing micro/nanofibers. Finally, the applications of super-hydrophobic materials in the field of coatings, fabric and filter material, anti-fogging, and antibacterial were introduced, and the problems existing in the preparation of super-hydrophobic materials were pointed out, such as unavailable industrialized production, high cost, and poor durability of the materials. Therefore, it is necessary to make a further study on the application of the materials in the selection, preparation, and post-treatment.
Metaverse technology has various uses in communication, education, entertainment, and other aspects of life. Consequently, it necessitates using some interactive mobile applications to enter the virtual world and gain real-time, face-to-face experiences, particularly among students. This research focused on the factors accelerating metaverse technology acceptance particularly, Metaverse Experience Browser application acceptance among the students under the factors proposed by the unified theory of acceptance and use of technology (UTAUT) model. Notably, lack of studies in metaverse browsers and their prevalence during the post pandemic era, indicates a strong literature gap. The researchers gathered data from n = 384 higher education students from the two cities in the United Arab Emirates and applied Structural Equation modelling (SEM) for data analysis. Results revealed that Performance Expectancy (p < 0.003) and Social Influence (p = 0.000) were significant factors affecting the Behavioral Intention of the students to consider Metaverse Experience Browser as an interactive mobile application. On the other hand, behavioural Intention significantly affects (p = 0.000) Effort Expectancy, which shows how fewer efforts and greater accessibility are associated with one’s behavioural Intention. Besides, the effect of Behavioral Intention (p = 0.000) on Metaverse Experience Browser acceptance also remained validated. Finally, Effort Expectancy (p = 0.000) also indicated its significant effect on the Metaverse Experience Browser. These results indicated that the factors proposed by UTAUT have greater applicability on the Metaverse Experience Browser as they showed their relevance to its acceptance. The present study concludes that the acceptance of Metaverse Experience Browser as an interactive mobile application is a level ahead in improving students’ experiences. Thus, the Metaverse Experience Browser is considered a modified way of creating, sharing, participating, and enjoying the virtual world, indicating its greater usage among students for different purposes, including education and learning.
The profound impact of China's concept of healthy development on various fields of society has influenced the mode of university education, and has gradually undergone changes in actual teaching modes, ways of thinking, and technologies. As one of the important educational courses in universities and sports departments, the reasonable introduction and implementation of functional training models in practical guidance can deepen students' learning of basic dance and skills, and further improve the performance of the dance stage. As a mentor, teachers should play the role of functional guidance essentials based on students' differentiated training abilities, optimize educational content from students' physical function training, and make adjustments. The professional functional training method is adopted to establish the practical application and promotion of functional training in university physical education.
Based on the application of phase diagram calculation technique (CALPHAD), the Fe-Nd-B magnetic materials were investigated, and alloy design and microstructure evolution concerning. According to the thermodynamic database of Fe-Nd-B ternary system, the equilibrium solidification process of Fe78Nd15B7 alloy is simulated, and we explained well the reason of this experimental phenomenon by the metastable extension of the equilibrium phase diagram.
