Within this broader analytical framework, this paper seeks to explore the apparent impact of digital transformation on employee relations within the context of listed companies. A theoretical model is proposed, positing digital transformation as the independent variable, employee relations as the dependent variable, and what might be characterized as cultural fit as a potential moderating variable. Based on an analysis of 482 ostensibly valid questionnaires collected from a sample of 500 A-share listed companies in China, what seems to emerge from these findings is that the mean score for the digital transformation scale was approximately 3.62, which tends to point toward a stage of local optimisation. The mean scores for the employee relations and corporate cultural fit scales were found to be 3.55 and 3.58, respectively. What the evidence appears to reveal is that digital transformation seems to be substantially positively correlated with employee relations (r ≈ 0.62, p < 0.01), and corporate cultural fit appears to share a similar positive correlation with both. What the analysis tends to support, furthermore, is that digital transformation appears to have a substantial positive impact on employee relations (β ≈ 0.58, p < 0.01). What seems especially noteworthy in this analytical context is that corporate culture fit seems to lend support to what may represent a positive moderating role (β ≈ 0.21, p < 0.05). In the high-fit group, the impact of digital transformation on employee relations appears to tend to suggest it is seemingly stronger (β ≈ 0.68, p < 0.01). What appears to emerge from this evidence, therefore, is the construction of a tentative model of this three-way relationship, ostensibly providing a basis for companies to balance technological innovation and humanistic care.

The low V-notch impact toughness is a notable limitation of the PBT/PA6 blend. In this study, we maintained a fixed PBT/PA6 ratio of 50/50 while varying the proportion of PP in the given blend at levels of 0%, 70%, 80%, 90%, and 100% neat PP. The results from the unnotched impact toughness tests for the PP/PBT/PA6 blends showed favorable outcomes. Specifically, the impact toughness of the PP/PBT/PA6 samples progressively increased with the rise in PP content. Initially, the toughness dropped from 10.13 kJ/m² in the 0% PP sample to 8.6 kJ/m² in the 70% PP sample, before increasing gradually from 8.6 kJ/m² in the 70% PP sample to 17.45 kJ/m² in the 90% PP sample to 17.45 kJ/m² in the 90% PP sample, which represents an increase of about 72% relative to the 0% PP sample. These positive results demonstrate that the addition of PP significantly enhances the impact toughness of the blend compared to formulations without PP.
HRIS is a crucial tool for HR departments as it provides a digital platform for managing and automating various HR functions. HRIS is a comprehensive solution that integrates HRM functions with IT, enhancing the daily operations of HR professionals. In today’s knowledge-based economy, business success relies heavily on the performance of its human resources, which are essential in a rapidly changing global environment. Businesses continually strive to stay ahead of the curve in the ever-evolving technology landscape to thrive in the market. Some scholars have highlighted the negative impact of Human Resource Information Systems, primarily focusing on the invasion of privacy as the main disadvantage. The study indicates that implementing a Human Resource Information System (HRIS) enhances business performance in the tourism and hospitality industry of the Maldives. It highlights that user satisfaction and ease of use are positively influenced by these systems. The research surveyed 211 professionals and managers from the Maldives tourism and hospitality sector using a Likert Scale questionnaire to assess the impact of the HRIS on business performance. The study used SPSS 22.0 to analyze the impact of the Human Resource Information System (HRIS) on the dependent variable. The findings indicate that managerial personnel and human resource specialists in organisations find a user-friendly and satisfying HRIS motivating and beneficial for enhancing their performance. Organisations implement the HRIS to achieve their goals, identify system shortcomings, and develop strategies to improve business performance in the Maldives’ tourism and hospitality sector.
Mangrove forests are vital to coastal protection, biodiversity support, and climate regulation. In the Niger Delta, these ecosystems are increasingly threatened by oil spill incidents linked to intensive petroleum activities. This study investigates the extent of mangrove degradation between 1986 and 2022 in the lower Niger Delta, specifically the region between the San Bartolomeo and Imo Rivers, using remote sensing and machine learning. Landsat 5 TM (1986) and Landsat 8 OLI (2022) imagery were classified using the Support Vector Machine (SVM) algorithm. Classification accuracy was high, with overall accuracies of 98% (1986) and 99% (2022) and Kappa coefficients of 0.97 and 0.98. Healthy mangrove cover declined from 2804.37 km2 (58%) to 2509.18 km2 (52%), while degraded mangroves increased from 72.03 km2 (1%) to 327.35 km2 (7%), reflecting a 354.46% rise. Water bodies expanded by 101.17 km2 (5.61%), potentially due to dredging, erosion, and sea-level rise. Built-up areas declined from 131.85 km2 to 61.14 km2, possibly reflecting socio-environmental displacement. Statistical analyses, including Chi-square (χ2 = 1091.33, p < 0.001) and Kendall's Tau (τ = 1, p < 0.001), showed strong correlations between oil spills and mangrove degradation. From 2012 to 2022, over 21,914 barrels of oil were spilled, with only 38% recovered. Although paired t-tests and ANOVA results indicated no statistically significant changes at broad scales, localized ecological shifts remain severe. These findings highlight the urgent need for integrated environmental policies and restoration efforts to mitigate mangrove loss and enhance sustainability in the Niger Delta.
While the healthcare landscape continues to evolve, rural-based hospitals face unique challenges in providing quality patient care amidst resource constraints and geographical isolation. This study evaluates the impact of big data analytics in rural-based hospitals in relation to service delivery and shaping future policies. Evaluating the impact of big data analytics in rural-based hospitals will assist in discovering the benefits and challenges pertinent to this hospital. The study employs a positivist paradigm to quantitatively analyze collected data from rural-based hospital professionals from the Information Technology (IT) departments. Through a comprehensive evaluation of big data analytics, this study seeks to provide valuable insights into the feasibility, infrastructure, policies, development, benefits and challenges associated with incorporating big data analytics into rural-based hospitals for day-to-day operations. The findings are expected to contribute to the ongoing discourse on healthcare innovation, particularly in rural-based hospitals and inform strategies for optimizing the implementation and use of big data analytics to improve patient care, decision-making, operations and healthcare sustainability in rural-based hospitals.
Rising fuel prices can affect driver behavior and thus the number of accidents, which is a key road safety issue. The aim of this paper was to assess and quantify the relationship between fuel prices (FP) and the number of road accidents in Europe. Content analysis of statistics from the countries was used to collect data, which were examined using Ramsey resets and Poisson distributions and then processed using negative binomial regression (NB), cluster analysis and visualization using contour plots. The results show that in Germany and Poland there is a statistically significant low negative correlation between fuel price and the number of traffic accidents, while in the Czech Republic and Denmark the relationship is weaker and statistically insignificant. In Iceland, no significant correlation was found. The contribution of this paper is to provide important insights that can be used in the development of transport policies and regulations to improve road safety. The main limitations include the difficulty of data collection, as many countries do not publish detailed statistics, and the low number of accidents in Iceland, which makes it impossible to perform a robust analysis for this country and may cause generalization of the results.
