In the era of rapid information technology development, artificial intelligence (AI) and virtual reality (VR) technologies have gradually infiltrated the field of university English teaching, brought significant applications and impacted to English language learning in listening, speaking, writing, translation, and personalized learning. AI plays a vital role as an auxiliary teaching method in university English instruction, and the integration of VR technology further enhances teaching efficiency. This research will propose relevant recommendations to provide theoretical references for university English education in the age of AI, while also offering insights and guidance to educators in the education industry during the informatization reform of education.
With the gradual acceleration of China's adaptation to the global environment, the country's demand for English talents is growing. In recent years, with the continuous innovation of the education system, English education in higher vocational colleges is also undergoing optimization and innovation. Language and literature are closely related. English language and literature education in higher vocational colleges aims to cultivate high-quality talents who can flexibly use English language and literature for communication. It can be seen that teachers in higher vocational colleges need to focus on cultivating students' application ability of English language and literature in the teaching process. By analyzing the current situation of English language and literature teaching in higher vocational colleges, this paper expounds its significance and puts forward corresponding countermeasures, hoping to promote the development and progress of English language and literature education in higher vocational colleges.
With the development of globalization and diversification, more and more people attach importance to English, and a great number of primary schools in China begin to attach importance to English teaching. As an international mainstream English teaching method, phonics has gradually been used in primary school education in China. Phonics guides students to match letters or letter combinations in the words with sounds, and read or spell words through these pronunciation rules, so that students can learn the vocabulary in a relaxed and pleasant way. It will also reduce obstacles to reading and writing words, and improve students’ learning efficiency. However, there are still some problems in primary school English teaching in China, such as lack of systematic teaching, neglect of phonetic symbol learning and neglect of word meaning, which need to be further improved so that phonics can better assist primary school English teaching.
Mind map was a note-taking method proposed by Tony Buzan(1994). And later it is developed into eight modes of thinking maps by David Hyerle(2009), which has been widely used in English teaching. As a knowledge visualization learning tool, mind map could help students construct knowledge framework, sort out knowledge structure, expand thinking and enhance memory. This article will take the grade three class of Shijiao Qixing Primary School in Shijiao Country, Qingyuan City as a sample. The Shijiao Qixing Primary School is a village primary school which most of the students are left-behind children and there are about 30 teachers with an age of 40. Neither the teachers nor the students have experienced the mind mapping teaching method. The article will explore the application of mind mapping in a countryside primary school based on relevant theoretical knowledge and classroom practice.
