Since entering the new era, in the face of the changing international situation, China is faced with both development opportunities and challenges. How to cultivate English talents to meet the needs of national development and national rejuvenation in the new era has become an urgent problem to be solved in English education in China. The application of applied linguistics to English teaching in colleges and universities plays a positive role in promoting the innovation of English teaching concept and teaching mode in colleges and universities and the improvement of teaching efficiency and quality. This requires college English teachers to master the relevant concepts and connotations of applied linguistics, and clarify the content scope of applied linguistics and the value of practical application. This paper will focus on the analysis of the current situation of English teaching in colleges and universities, and on the basis of the concept and scope of applied linguistics, put forward some practical application strategies, hoping to provide a reference for the innovation of teaching mode and teaching methods of English curriculum in colleges and universities.

These  differences also reflect the different cultures of the two countries. Focusing on the greetings of the first meeting in daily life, this paper selects TV plays with more daily exchanges, collects language materials of TV play types related to social life, friendship, schools, companies, etc., and makes a comparative analysis of the performance and functions of Japanese and Chinese greetings, and makes a study of Sociolinguistics.

This paper aims to analyze the binary structure of "human-nature" in the philosophy of life technology. Based on this research paradigm, it seeks to reveal the dialectical unity between technology and ethics. Furthermore, the paper explores how to construct a new ethical perspective of harmonious coexistence between humans and nature in the present era. It also delves into the methods to confront this ethical dilemma.

Puppetry is one of the traditional folk art forms with a long history in China.Puppetry is one of the traditional folk art forms with a long history in China. After it was transmitted to the Gaozhou Prefecture of Guangdong by the Fujian Zhangzhou Puppet Show during the Wanli period of the Ming Dynasty, it gradually took root in the local culture of Guangdong, and the Gaozhou Puppet Theatre was born as a result. Under the radiant influence of Cantonese Opera, the number one theatre in Lingnan, in the western part of Guangdong, the Gaozhou Puppet Theatre has been passed down through the generations, and has used the Cantonese Opera cantata, an element of Cantonese Opera that is the essence of the art, in its unique puppetry accent. Nowadays, when many "non-heritage" cultures are facing difficulties in inheritance and development, it is especially crucial for the puppet theatre of Gaozhou to be able to use the elements of Cantonese Opera's singing in the new era, so as to make Gaozhou Puppet Theatre a new life and make the public appreciate the art again by incorporating the elements of Cantonese Opera's singing.

In the new era, the Yiban platform has become an important carrier for college counselors to carry out online ideological and political education for college students. Utilizing the Yiban platform to improve the effectiveness of online ideological and political education is a practical need for ideological and political education in universities, but there is a deviation between its actual construction and the expected effect. At present, college counselors face difficulties in carrying out online ideological and political education based on the Yi Ban platform, such as a lack of online thinking, insufficient new media literacy, and weak content innovation. Based on the fundamental task of cultivating morality and talents, starting from the job responsibilities of counselors, fully utilizing the platform of changing classes, and striving in four directions: improving political literacy and theoretical level, building a composite talent team, valuing the role of "opinion leaders", and adhering to the "content as the king" orientation, can provide a feasible path for comprehensively improving the quality of online ideological and political education for college students.

This paper aims to explore the practice and effect of integrating ideological and politics in higher vocational mathematics education. Through the review of relevant literature and the analysis of practical cases, this study analyzes the necessity and feasibility of integrating ideological and political education into higher vocational mathematics teaching, as well as the promoting effect of students' ideological and political education.
